There is going to be a BBQ at Diana´s house, from there we can see the "desfile de carros clasicos". You can be there anytime from 1:00 pm. There is a charge for the BBQ of $15.000 pesos or USD 7.

La Feria de las Flores

We want to do a meet-up in Medellín with a few traveling from Bogotá either on Friday of Saturday. If anyone is interested in traveling by road to Medellín this weekend let me know. We plan to stay for at least a week.

If things work out we could do a meet up on Saturday 4th and if posible schedule activities thru the Feria. I hope to see Paisa29 again.

We will be meeting at Cafe del Sol at 7:00 PM. On Fridays carrera 7ma is closed for cars, it is what we call "El Septimazo" this main avenue is closed for cars an usually there are events. Plus La Candelaria is always full of activity with his night clubs, restaurants, teathers and history buildings.

I will be walking and taking pictures on carrera 7ma and 28 street at 5:00 p.m. and will make it to Cafe del Sol in La Candelaria, Calle 14 No. 3-64 by 6:30 PM. If anyone wants to meet me around 5:00 p.m for a walk, give me a call. (3112604141) I want to take pictures before it gets dark.

A few of us are interested in growing the community of Friends of Colombia and Colombianos around the world, we are planning on building a Portal and creating an online forum from Colombia. If anyone wants to be part of our team let me know.

Cafe del Sol is across from Casa Silva, calle 14 is just one way east. About a block and a half from Chorro Quevedo and around the corner from Casa de Citas, there will be a live band from Cuba, "Los cuatro de Belen" in Casa de Citas.

Every Friday there is what is calle "El Septimazo" it means that 7th aveneue is closed for cars and people get to walk from Plaza de Bolivar up to 30th street. It is and interesting walk. Besides that there are to streets the 10th and the 11th, that are closed for cars.

The best way to get to La Candelaria on public transport is by taking the Transmilenio the one that says "Las Aguas" get off anywhere near carrera 5th and walk a few blocks.

There are different parking lots, but due that the carrera 7ma will be close for cars, it is no advisable to take cars.

La Candelaria history center of Bogotá, it is a must place to visit for international visitors.

There are many cultural activities taken place. Eurocine Festival, singers on plaza Bolivar, etc
