Welcome to the "New in Town/Social" 30's/40's Group

Hi, I'd like to welcome you warmly to the 30's/40's "New in Town" Social Group.

We meet at 7 pm on the second Thursday night of every month at the Hotel Leveson in
North Melbourne. (46 Leveson st, North Melbourne).

The venue itself is upmarket and reasonably spacious and a good central
location for having drinks and a chat. There is free parking in the street after 6 pm.

The event is a good way to find out more about the social club The Dining
and Activity Network (DAAN) - a Melbourne-wide club that generally has 10-15
events per week right across the city. All sorts of things: restaurants,
theatre, parties, films, musicals, dancing, sporting activities etc.
etc... (most events tend to be 5-15 people). Booking in here qualifies you for a FREE two month membership of DAAN (if you then decide to join, it's $148 for annual membership).

It's a great way to get out and about to "DO STUFF" and "MEET PEOPLE"!

Things get going with "drinks" in the bar area of the just ask here for
the "social club". I will be there with Meetup written on a folded piece of white paper (also contactable by mobile - 0411 961 338 - answered live). The first half hour is the time for "icebreaking chitchat" in the
Leveson bar area.

After that we'll go for a walk around North Melbourne itself (a couple of
streets - Leveson, Victoria and Errol)to find a restaurant to dine at.
There's a about 10 or so locations to choose from depending on the mood of
the group: Italian, French, Balinese, Modern Australian, Chinese, Thai,
Nepalese etc. Simple democratic principles will apply.
