What's better than a beautiful day, a picnic in the park, and a leisurely hike through the woods? Well, I can't organize the beautiful day, but we can certainly plan a picnic and a hike. (If it rains, I'm afraid we'll have to cancel; watch this space for details.) According to the map, it looks like the Kingfisher trail has a picnic shelter (Kingfish shelter) at its head. We can meet there, or if it's already reserved, across the way at Hawk Knoll. If anyone knows this park better than I do please feel free to suggest a better option. Pets are welcome at the park as long as they are on a leash and you clean up after them. I'll be bringing my dog, Sadie, and I hope others will want to bring their dogs, too. Please bring your own beverage, and a dish to share, (or plates, etc.) and include what you'll be bringing in the comments for your RSVP. Also, be aware that entrance to the park will be $2.00 or $5.00 for an annual pass.
It was nice to have a meet up that didn't cost anything! Nice park, too. I'd definitely be interested in doing this again.

I wish more people had been able to make it. Otherwise, it was a good day and a fun hike.
